About Alexei Antonov

An American painter in love with the Old Masters — Rembrandt, Van Dyck, Rubens. He spent years studying their multi-layered techniques, and now mixes that classical foundation with surrealism, impressionism, and a healthy dose of creative chaos.

Classical, and what he calls "Fusion" — think of it the way you'd think of Fusion in music. Something familiar, something unexpected, beautifully combined.

About the Art

A museum-quality reproduction made with archival inks on fine art paper or canvas. The colors stay vivid for generations. Pronounced "zhee-KLAY."

A fixed number of prints made from one original — each signed and numbered by hand. When they're gone, they're gone. A print marked "12/100" means it's the 12th out of 100 ever made.

A giclée that Alexei has painted over by hand — adding brushstrokes and texture. Every single one ends up slightly different. More original than a print, less expensive than an original.

Every work ships with a Certificate of Authenticity on a formal letterhead — full details about the piece, hand-signed and dated by the artist. Originals and limited editions are also signed and dated on the front, and signed again on the back. Limited editions carry their edition number (e.g. 12/100). Occasionally Alexei includes a personal welcome letter as well.

Colors are reproduced as faithfully as possible, but every monitor displays them slightly differently. If color accuracy matters for your space, contact Alexei and he'll send additional photos in different lighting conditions.

A simple trick: cut out newspaper to the artwork's dimensions and tape it to your wall. Live with it for a day. You'll know immediately if it's right.
